Build Your First AI Chatbot: Hands-On Workshop In-Person

Are you ready to explore the world of AI-powered chatbots? Join us for an interactive workshop where you'll go from chatbot novice to creator, building your own custom AI assistant.

What You'll Experience: This engaging, hands-on session combines live demonstrations with practical creation time. After a brief introduction to AI and chatbots, you'll watch a live walkthrough of the bot-building process, then dive into creating your own chatbot with step-by-step guidance. Whether you envision an onboarding assistant for new students, a meeting notes organizer, or a specialized teaching tool, you'll leave with a functional bot tailored to your needs.

Interactive Learning: The workshop emphasizes peer collaboration and real-world application. You'll test each other's creations in small groups, share feedback, and participate in a showcase where volunteers demonstrate their bots. This collaborative approach ensures you'll gain insights not just from the instruction, but from seeing creative solutions your colleagues develop.

What to Bring: Come prepared with a workflow or process you'd like to automate to serve as inspiration for your chatbot creation. Pre-session materials (a brief video and reading on chatbot basics and prompt engineering) will be provided to maximize our hands-on time together.

Beyond the Workshop: You'll receive a comprehensive digital resource kit including Poe guides, prompt templates, and additional learning materials. Plus, this session serves as a foundation for our upcoming Python-based AI workshop for those interested in more advanced development.
